Funky PPL Press, or FPP for short, was formed in early 2024 as a new years resolution to our founder, Kait. She wanted to dive deep into the music world, and give others her age the chance to make valuable impacts on the industry together. A little after the idea was hatched, social media was made, domains were bought, and the concerts started coming…

FPP is meant to be a place for anyone, any fan, anywhere. With content mainly being produced in the Big Apple and the beautiful Hudson Valley of New York, our articles, reviews, playlists, and coverage are sure to give you a deep dive into the music industry, entertainment, and fan culture! It’s a place for aspiring music industry lovers to connect with those involved in the production of live events; a place for fans to feel represented; and overall, a place to read up on whats hot in music and view the coolest concert coverage.

We find it incredibly important to give Gen-Zers a place on our platform. From featuring TikTok trends, to providing younger photographers and writers with opportunities to cover, we hope to amplify Gen-Z voices in the music industry one show at a time. Gen-Z is the voice of the future, and we’re pretty funny too. If you are interested in inspiring stories, silly goofy content, professional connection, and live coverage, FPP is the comfiest corner on the internet for you 👋

Kait Dugan – Editor-in-Chief and Photographer

Kait (she/her) is a Photographer and Graphic Designer based in New York, NY. She started FPP due to her interest in working with other younger entertainment/music industry professionals while interning at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. For Kait’s Senior Thesis project at Marist University, she is grew Funky PPL Press to make a physical magazine as well as grow the FPP website to include many different forms of concert coverage.
