Beau @ Baby’s

NYC-based band Beau played to a full room of friends, family, and fans on September 17th in Brooklyn. The band, comprised of best friends Heather Goldin and Emma Jenney, have been making music together since childhood. In 2015, Beau released their first album That Thing Reality. Now, almost ten years later, Beau will release their sophomore album Girl Cried Wolf on October 11th.

Natives of Greenwich Village, the band started performing in Washington Square Park as thirteen year olds for friends and strangers. Describing their sound as a mix of synth dream pop, bedroom rock, electronic dance and pop-punk, Beau has grown into an ever-changing and fluid project for Goldin and Jenney.

Baby’s All Right is one of my favorite venues. From the light wall behind the stage to the vinyl records spun in the main bar, Baby’s brings the best vibes of Brooklyn. This show made me love it more. Seeing a band perform in their hometown with all the people who love them in one spot was a beautiful thing to be a part of. I’m looking forward to hearing the entirety of Girl Cried Wolf in a little less than a month!
